Young artists from across Shymkent gathered at Auezov University for the traditional citywide autumn still life competition "Qazan Fest–2026".
The creative competition brought together students from Auezov University and several other higher and specialised educational institutions in Shymkent, who captured the beauty of autumn through their artistic expression.
Organised by the Department of Fine Arts and Design the competition was dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Republic Day. Its aim was to showcase the creative potential of young artists, foster their interest in fine arts and provide an opportunity to exchange experience.
This year’s competition focused on autumn still life. Participants incorporated pumpkins, grain crops, seasonal fruits and vegetables into their compositions, conveying the rich palette of autumn through their individual artistic styles.
