Memorandum of cooperation signed within the framework of «WORLDSKILLS SHANGHAI 2026»

From September 22 to 27, 2026, the WorldSkills World Championship in professional skills was held in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China. As part of the international championship, a bilateral Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Suzhou Industrial Vocational and Technical Institute and the College of Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University. The memorandum is aimed at developing mutual cooperation between the two institutions. The memorandum is focused on strengthening ties between the two educational institutions, sharing experience and developing mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of vocational education.
The main areas of cooperation include:
* student exchange - creating opportunities for students to gain international experience and enhance their professional competencies;
* faculty exchange - organizing professional experience sharing and professional development opportunities for teaching staff;
* professional skills competitions - improving students professional skills and expanding opportunities to participate in international professional competitions;
* educational and research cooperation - implementing joint educational, methodological and research projects;
* cooperation in educational standards and resources – sharing experience in educational standards, teaching materials and modern educational resources;
* development of practical training facilities and workshops - improving modern training and production facilities and expanding opportunities for practical training;
* cooperation in diploma education - sharing experience in the preparation of students diploma projects and implementing joint projects.
Signing the Memorandum of Cooperation is an important step towards improving the quality of vocational education, introducing advanced international practices into the educational process and expanding students professional opportunities.
This partnership between vocational education institutions in Kazakhstan and China will contribute to the exchange of experience between students and teachers, the acquisition of new knowledge and technologies and the training of qualified specialists who meet the needs of the modern labour market.
