«Journalissimus Baidulla Konysbek»: a life worth following

A conference titled "Journalissimus Baidulla Konysbek" was held at Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University.
The event was dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Baidulla Konysbek a well known writer and public figure who helped establish the "Оңтүстік" TV channel.
The anniversary event began with a special photo exhibition and a screening of the documentary film "Legendary Person - Baidulla Konysbek". The conference was moderated by well known journalist Galymzhan Elshibay.
At the ceremony Mukhtar Tolegen Chairman of the Board - Rector of the University and poet Khanbibi Esenkarakyzy gave speeches and highly appreciated Baidulla Konysbek’s contribution to the development of the national media sector. Well known writers and scholars also discussed the creative legacy of the journalist who raised important issues of society.
His contemporaries and students shared their memories of the "Father of Southern Journalism". According to the organizers the event aims to pass on the legendary figure’s creative legacy and writing traditions to the next generation.
