Priority will be given to improving the quality of education and scientific potential

Today Chairman of the Board Rector of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University Mukhtar Tolegen visited the Higher School of «Textile and Food Engineering». He met with students and learned about the educational process and research activities.
During the visit he was introduced to the Higher School’s facilities, creative classrooms, specialized rooms and research laboratories. Special attention was also given to the practical and research projects of students and teachers.
Nowadays, the quality of higher education is not limited to theoretical knowledge. It is important to create the necessary conditions for students to work with modern equipment, gain practical experience and take part in research. In this area priority is given to funding research, supporting young scientists projects and developing modern laboratories.
At the same time there are also issues at the Higher School that need to be addressed. In particular, providing teachers with modern computer equipment and students with suitable classrooms remains an important issue. In this regard relevant tasks were assigned. “These tasks should not be delayed and must be focused on clear results. Our main goals are to improve the quality of education, strengthen the connection between science and industry and create new opportunities for students” said Mukhtar Tolegen.
Each faculty and higher school of the University is an important link that contributes to the institution’s overall achievements. Therefore one of the key priorities is to make effective use of their potential and create the necessary conditions for the simultaneous development of education and science.
