Literary and intellectual forum brings together young book lovers

Today Auezov University brought together young people of Shymkent who are passionate about reading and eager to broaden their horizons.
As part of the “Reading University” initiative of the national “Reading Nation” project a literary and intellectual forum titled “Fostering Mindful Readers” was held.
The forum featured three sections, providing a platform for meaningful discussions and intellectual competitions.
The first section focused on the discussion of the work by Head of State Kassym Jomart Tokayev, titled “Әділетті қоғамға-шыншыл сөз”. The discussion was attended by staff of the Information and Educational Center, employees of Shymkent’s municipal universal and public libraries, as well as faculty members and students of the Department of Journalism and Kazakh Language. A book exhibition titled “Book Exhibition” was also organized.
In the second section the "Aiqap" and "Aqiqat" clubs of the Youth Center discussed the work and exchanged views on the topical issues raised in the book.
In the third section active young people from higher education institutions across the city competed in a team based intellectual game. Participants completed the Book Start, Book Quest, Book Challenge and Book Heart stages, demonstrating their knowledge, logical thinking, and teamwork skills.
The best teams were selected and the winners were presented with special prizes.
