Auezov university scientist presents a new technology for developing cotton farming

A national scientific and practical seminar “Field Day 2026” focused on the development of cotton farming was held in the Turkistan Region.
The event was organized by the Kazakh Research Institute of Cotton Growing under the Ministry of Agriculture of the RK. Leading scientists and industry experts from Kazakhstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan took part in the event and shared advanced cotton growing technologies.
At the international seminar B. Kalymbetov a scientist at Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University, Head of the science and Production center “Agroengineering and Technology” and Academician or the NAAS RK, gave a special presentation and introduced his innovative project.
The scientist presented an important initiative that town won the grant funding competiton of JSC “Science Fund”.
-Project title: DP25997719 “Introducing a breakthrough technology for producing high quality seeds and organizing cotton seed production through the technological modernization of the existing cotton seed delinting facility”.
What will this project bring?
The new technology will help achieve stable and high yields from domestic cotton varieties and fully modernize the production of high quality seeds in line with modern requirements.
This achievement of the university’s scientists, who have brought science and production closer together is a significant contribution to increasing the agricultural potential not only of our region but of the entire country!
