Three third-year students from the Department of Finance at Auezov University – Diana Kurumbayeva, Anzhelika Gorkovaya (Yutsevich) and Yersain Saduakhas – were awarded third-degree diplomas at the 18th National Student Subject Olympiad for the 6B04140 'Finance' educational program organised by Turan University in Almaty.

As financial services become increasingly digitalised and online transactions grow, bank cybersecurity is becoming more and more vital. While mobile banking offers convenience, it also increases the frequency and complexity of cyber threats. Consequently, traditional protection methods are no longer sufficient.

The university's 'Mission Possible' team presented a project titled 'Cybersecurity of Banks in the Republic of Kazakhstan: Key Attacks and Defence Strategies", securing 3rd place.
