As part of 'Science Month' and in celebration of Kozy Korpesh – Bayan Sulu Day, the 'Personal Development and the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan' centre organised the 'EPOSFEST' festival at the university.

The festival aimed to examine the Kazakh epic heritage scientifically, reviving its historical and social significance. It also sought to foster national consciousness among young people through national epics, traditions and spiritual values, as well as integrating national identity with modern technologies, including artificial intelligence. A total of 11 teams from various university faculties took part in the competition, testing their skills across three stages:

• “Sound of the Great Steppe”, artistic performance;
•  “Epic in the Nation's Memory”, video presentation;
• a quiz competition.

At the opening of the event, G. Zhanysbekova, Head of the 'Personal Development and Assembly of People of Kazakhstan' Centre, Chair of the University's Mothers' Council, and Candidate of Historical Sciences, delivered a speech highlighting the significance of the festival. She emphasised that instilling the sacred poetic heritage of our ancestors into the minds of the younger generation, and promoting unity and patriotism through heroic epics, is one of today's youth's primary duties.

The panel of judges included U. Seilbekova, Honoured Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and lead soloist at the Shymkent City Opera and Ballet Theatre; A. Issayeva, Honoured Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and department head at the 'Kogamdyk Kelisim' municipal state institution of the city internal policy department; and Kh. Tadjiyev, Associate Professor and PhD graduate from our university.

Festival results:

• First Place: The "Tumar" team
• 2nd place: Sal Seri Men Qos Sulu and Serper teams
• 3rd place: Rukhty Arular, Tughyr and Kok Bori Rukhy teams

Participants were also honoured with special nominations such as 'Silver Voice, Golden Tongue', 'Modern Epic Reciter' and 'Digital Epic'.
