Over 232,000 students are expected to graduate from schools across Kazakhstan this year. Ruslan Yemelbayev, Advisor to the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, announced this today at the "Study in Kazakhstan" educational exhibition, held at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University in the country's third largest city, Shymkent. The exhibition is aimed at introducing Kazakhstani youth to high-quality educational opportunities and features Kazakhstani universities alongside domestic branches of leading global higher education institutions. In total, around 60 higher education institutions are presenting their programs. According to Ruslan Yemelbayev, this large-scale educational project is covering 17 regions of Kazakhstan this year. It has already been hosted in the Mangystau region, as well as in the cities of Astana, Pavlodar, Semey, Oskemen, Almaty and Taraz.

“Head of State K. Tokayev instructed the opening of branches of leading foreign higher education institutions in Kazakhstan. To implement this, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education has established over 40 strategic partnerships and launched dual-degree programs. One example of this is the establishment of the Honors College at Auezov University in partnership with Arizona State University, one of the most innovative universities in the United States. This educational exhibition is being held in Shymkent for the second consecutive year. It provides high school graduates with comprehensive information about universities across the country and helps them to make informed decisions about their future careers," said R. Yemelbayev.

Ernar Imangaliyev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at M. Auezov SKU, presented the university's latest developments and wished applicants success in their choice of future profession.

Farkhat Sultabayev, an expert in UNT, the author of UNT chemistry preparation books and the founder of the Dostyq Online educational platform, also presented '3 Secrets to Getting 95% of Students into State Grants'. Career guidance experts Karlygash Berekeqyzy and Omarbek Koshkinbaiuly offered valuable advice on how to prepare effectively for the UNT, how to develop the right strategies, how to maximise your chances of receiving a grant and how to select the right future profession.

Graduates will explore all the necessary details, including the unique features of studying at foreign university branches and dual-degree programs.

The exhibition runs until 5:00 PM today.
