Invitation to the 18th Republican Student Subject Olympiad! M. Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University invites all students enrolled in the “B051 – Biology” program to participate in the 18th Republican Student Subject Olympiad. The event will be held in Shymkent on 15–16 May 2026.

The Olympiad aims to unleash students' creative abilities, identify and support the most talented and gifted individuals, and foster their intellectual potential. The event aims to stimulate students' interest in scientific research and give them the chance to contribute to solving urgent scientific problems.

Participants: Senior undergraduate students from higher education institutions across the Republic of Kazakhstan. Each university team must consist of three students and one academic advisor.

The Olympiad consists of two stages:

Stage 1: Theoretical tasks;

Stage 2 involves practice-oriented tasks (participants must bring a white lab coat and medical gloves). Detailed requirements for all stages are available via the link provided at the end of this notice.

Registration requirements:

To register, teams must submit the following documents:

- Team application form (Appendix 1);

- Scanned certificate of enrolment from the university for each team member.

Financial conditions: travel, accommodation and meal expenses are covered by the sending institution.

Working languages: Kazakh and Russian.

Awards: Winners taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will receive diplomas from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
