Aliya Kuralbayeva, PhD, Associate Professor in the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology at Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, presented the university with 100 copies of her co-authored work, 'Kazakhstani Standard of the Denver II Developmental Screening Test', in collaboration with Gulhiz Pilten.
This work was developed as part of a grant project funded by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The book establishes a national standard for the international Denver II developmental screening test, adapted to the conditions of Kazakhstan.
The test provides an effective methodology for assessing the developmental level of children aged 0 to 6.5 years, enabling the timely identification of potential deviations and delays in early development. It evaluates children's speech, social adaptation, gross and fine motor skills, and their overall developmental level.
According to the authors, many parents today do not pay sufficient attention to initial changes in their child's development. As such, this book is considered an important scientific and practical guide for parents, educators, teachers and psychologists.
The methodology helps to identify developmental barriers at an early stage, enabling parents and specialists to seek assistance promptly if necessary.
