At the beginning of the working trip to China, the delegation of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, led by the University’s Chairman of the Board – Rector, Dr. D. Akhmed-Zaki, held a series of meetings in Beijing aimed at studying advanced solutions in artificial intelligence and the digital transformation of education.
At Peking University, the delegation was introduced to a comprehensive digital learning ecosystem that has become a benchmark for leading global universities. The presentations covered adaptive learning platforms, intelligent systems for automated assessment of written work, semantic anti-plagiarism tools, and technologies for predicting academic risks. These instruments enable the creation of individualized learning pathways and enhance the quality of academic decision-making.
At Tsinghua University, the focus was on cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence. The delegation observed the work of laboratories in computer vision and NLP, as well as the university’s digital twin project, which supports optimization of campus logistics, automated scheduling, and real-time data management.
A significant part of the programme included a visit to the headquarters of Lenovo, where the delegation was presented with industrial solutions for modernizing university infrastructure. These included AI-powered PCs, intelligent learning spaces, server platforms, and Edge AI devices. The company demonstrated how these technologies can effectively upgrade both the academic and administrative environment of higher education institutions.
At the Beijing Future Center, the delegation reviewed government pilot projects in digital governance, including biometric identification systems, VR and AR simulators, digital twins of buildings, and AI-based competency assessment platforms. These initiatives reflect China’s broader strategy to establish a resilient, technology-driven educational environment.
The visit to Beijing provided a comprehensive understanding of how major Chinese universities and technology corporations integrate artificial intelligence into education, research, and institutional management. The insights gained will support the expansion of international partnerships, the development of new research areas, and the continued modernization of the digital infrastructure of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University.
