Auezov University Launches Training Course under the Eurasia Foundation Grant (Asia)

An international academic course titled 'Integration Processes of the Central Asian Countries' has been launched at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University. This project was a joint initiative between the Department of International Cooperation and the Department of Political Science, and received funding from the Eurasia Foundation.
The first lecture, titled “Why a New Community Now?”, was delivered by the Foundation’s Director, Dr. Chang Jun Kon, and covered current issues of regional integration. The meeting was held in an open format. Dr Chan Beng-Sun also spoke at the lecture, sharing insights on international academic experience. Dr. Chang Jun Kon praised the high level of organisation of the event and thanked the university administration, the Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Arida Turymshayeva, and the faculty members of the Department of Political Science.
The course runs from 24 April to 5 June 2026. The programme includes lectures in both online and offline formats, featuring invited speakers from Japan, South Korea and the United States.
The project aims to study the political, economic and cultural aspects of regional integration in Central Asia, and to contribute to the development of students’ research potential.
