Purpose of the EP

Training of a specialist with a broad outlook and a culture of thinking, who has the skills of design technology, organization of construction of industrial and civil facilities.

Tasks of the EP

- formation of socially responsible behavior in society, understanding the importance of professional ethics and adherence to these standards;

- formation of competitiveness of graduates in the field of construction, to ensure the possibility of their fastest possible employment in the specialty or continuing their studies in the master's degree;

- establishing conditions for the development of in-demand knowledge and skills, as well as a conscious attitude towards enhancing the welfare of society and conserving the planet within the framework of the SDGs.

The graduate of this educational program is awarded the degree of "bachelor of engineering and technology." Bachelors in education program may hold positions of foreman and superintendent of the construction site, the manufacturer of works (foreman), head production Department, civil-engineer, a quality engineer construction work, the engineer for the construction supervision engineer on work rationing, engineer on organization of construction management engineer on labor protection and safety in construction, technician in construction, scientific research institutions without presentation of requirements to the work experience in accordance with the qualification requirements Qualification Handbook for managers, professionals and other employees

Subjects of professional activity

The development of space-planning and design solutions for buildings and structures for various purposes, the justification of their engineering equipment and a master plan based on knowledge of regulatory documents of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Eurocodes; development of general construction projects and projects, organization of construction of buildings and structures.

Learning outcomes

LО1. Apply modern technology and information technologies in the development of space-planning and structural solutions of buildings and structures and the performance of thermal calculations of enclosing structures.

LО2. Demonstrate social, legal, socio-economic knowledge in professional activities, as well as methods of scientific research.

LО3. Apply management and competent allocation of finances, as well as natural science, mathematics, economics, and engineering knowledge in the design, construction, and operation of buildings and structures.

LО5. Develop engineering and technological, space-planning, structural and energy efficiency decision of buildings.

LО6. Calculate and design separate structural elements of buildings for load combination and impacts taking into consideration Eurocodes.

LО7. Develop and evaluate variable design of construction industry taking into account material and technical resources, volume of construction work, selection and comparison of mechanization.

LО8. Take intelligent solution on selection of foundation types and calculate their rated characteristics on the basis of physical and mechanical properties of soils.

LО9. Apply modern specialized computer systems using AI elements for the design of construction facilities.

LО10. Apply main provisions of standard regulations, construction codes and specifications, regulating construction activity in the field of technology and organization of construction industry.

LО11. Take on the task of observation and evaluation of buildings and structures’ state in the process of  operation and reconstruction.

LО12. Work out measures on occupational safety and health in the field of construction taking into account requirements of regulatory documents
