Research work of the Department of Technology and Design of Textile Materials

At present, the department has 1 candidate of technical sciences, 5 PhD, 3 master, senior lecturers and teachers.

A total of 70 scientific articles and papers have been published according to the results of research in 2024. Of them: in journals with impact factor (RINC) - 5.

In the journals approved by the Committee for control in the sphere of education and science RK-9.

The number of published articles in the proceedings of scientific conferences of various levels-57.

Including: at international conferences of RK - 38. at student conferences - 19. textbooks - 4, manuals - 3, patents for invention - 4. The results of scientific research are implemented in the educational process, as well as in production, which is confirmed by acts of implementation.

The department's research direction

Scientific work of the department "Technology and design of textile materials" was carried out on the following state budgetary themes:

B-16-05-15 "Innovative textile. principles of shaping and decoration". Supervisor: PhD Dr Bektursunova A.K.

The aim of the work is to develop criteria and methods of qualitative assessment of functional and operational properties of materials of textile and light industry on the basis of mathematical modelling of the mentioned properties and introduction of computer technologies.

Funded research projects

In 2024 at the department "T&DTM" there are 3 projects on research and development.

1) PhD, senior lecturer Turakulov B.B. won the project AR15473325 "Study of the possibility of obtaining chromite pigments from technogenic waste for the textile industry" under the programme of grant financing of scientific research from 01.11.2022 to 31.12.2024.

The total amount of financing is 18,464,670 tenge.

2) The T&DTM department has 1 R&D project financed by: Erasmus under Reileap Uzbekistan- Reinforcement capacities of higher education institutions on leather and leather products in Kazakhstan 618930-EPP-1-2020-1-EL-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP
Project partner: SKU named after M. Auezov. Project manager: Eldiyar G.K.
The mission of the Kazakh REILEAP Leather Centre is to promote basic and applied research in the field of leather processing, leather goods and footwear materials and to provide training with EU experience to those working in the industry and related fields.

3) AP09260240 "Development of the method of vortex interaction of flows with the possibility of regulating the temperature in the contact zone and creation of gas cleaning systems on its basis".

Two projects were sent to the competition for grant funding of research of young scientists under the project "Zhas galym" for 2025-2027. According to the results of the competition, the project of Doctor PhD, Senior Lecturer Sabyrkhanovaoya Saltanat Shalkharbaevna - AR22684790 "Development and optimisation of technology of dyeing textile and leather products with extracts of local plants" received grant funding

Chairman of the Board-Rector of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, Chairman of the Academic Council Ahmed-Zaki Darkhan Zhumakanovich this year in order to finance the research of young scientists in the educational institution for the first time held an intra-university competition "Zhas galym", where a young scientist grant holder Sabyrkhanova Saltanat Shalkharbaevna was solemnly awarded a certificate
