In the 2019/2020 academic year, the educational programs 6B07230-"Technology and design of light industry products", 7M07230-"Technology and design of light industry products" were internationally accredited by the ASIIN agency (Dusseldorf, Germany).

In the 2019/2020 academic year, the educational program "Innovative Technologies in Light Industry" was held in NCAOKO.

Improving the quality of personnel training based on the synthesis of the triad "science-education-innovation" in this area, the department has a significant integration potential: memoranda of cooperation in the field of science and education with leading universities of the near and far abroad:

To undergo a scientific internship in "LiderSnab" LLP, "Talapty" LLP, "Gauhar" LLP, "Tomiris" LLP, "AzalaTextile" LLP, "South Textiline KZ" LLP, "Alatex" LLP.

Together with the sewing enterprises of the region, educational, scientific and production complexes (EBR) have been created at the bases: LLP NVP "Talapty", LLP "Special Gear Kazakhstan", LLP "Alatex". On the basis of the TSOU, students are given a real opportunity to gain practical experience of professional activity.

The system of advanced training of teaching staff is implemented through advanced training courses at the department, internships at leading universities, research institutes, organizations and enterprises of Far and near abroad.

Teachers have published more than 300 scientific and methodological works, received 15 copyright certificates and innovative patents of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 8 monographs, more than 30 textbooks and manuals, 45 electronic textbooks. More than 160 articles have been published in journals with a non-zero impact factor, and 30 articles have been published in KKSON publications. More than 120 scientific papers have been published in publications of far and near abroad.

The results of scientific research are introduced into the educational process, as well as into production, which is confirmed by more than 70 acts of implementation.
