A seminar on innovative technologies for the processing of melon crops was held at the university
On October 22, 2025, a seminar on the topic "Innovative technologies for processing horticultural crops and the development of modern food production" was held, organized by the "Center for Entrepreneurship and Partnership" of the Department of Science and Entrepreneurship on the basis of the outgoing letter No. 22-10 of the "Melon Juice Co" agricultural production cooperative. The event was attended by scientists from Almaty Technological University, faculty members, doctoral students, and master's students from our university. The parties reached an agreement to implement joint projects aimed at strengthening the link between science and industry.
The main purpose of the seminar was to discuss innovative approaches to the processing of agricultural products, share experience in introducing new technologies in the field of processing horticultural crops, and consider current issues and solutions in the development of food production. During the event, representatives of the "Melon Juice Co" cooperative shared their production experience and made a report on the modern processing technologies used in the company, work to improve product quality and form an environmentally friendly production system.
In addition, the participants of the seminar exchanged views on the advantages of automating the processing of agricultural products, mechanisms for introducing innovative equipment, and the contribution of cooperation to regional development. During the meeting, proposals were also discussed to expand cooperation between the university and the production cooperative, implement joint research projects, and develop students' practical skills.
At the end of the seminar, the participants noted that events of this format contribute to strengthening the connection between education and production and the implementation of new ideas in the agricultural sector.
