At the Department of Technology and Safety of Food Products, research is being carried out in the direction of the PCF project of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan 2021-2023. in the amount of 41005947.00 tenge on the topic: Development of technology for processing promising varieties of fruit, berry crops and grapes of domestic selection in order to obtain biologically active substances and fruit and berry powders for use in the food industry. At the Department of Food Engineering in 2022, a project was won under the PCF program "Comprehensive non-waste processing of agricultural raw materials of animal and vegetable origin", 2022-2024, the total amount is 250,000,000.00 tenge, Project Manager Alibekov R.S., performers : Urazbayeva K.A., Kasymova M.K., Orymbetova G.E.
In November 2022 Art. Lecturer of the department "Technology and design of textile materials" Turakulov B. received a grant in the competition of young scientists on the topic of the project "Research on the possibility of obtaining chromite pigments from man-made waste for the textile industry". Funding amount: 18,464,670 tenge.

From 01.04.-03.04. 2026, the IXth meeting of the Advisory Council on the international project ERASMUS+ TEX4FUTURE - 101128738 - GAP-101128738 – “Textile production for the future in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan” was organized at the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University. Project leader: Kaldybayev R.T.. Executors: Eshzhanov A.A., Kaldybayev G.Yu., Dayrabay D.D., Mirzamuratova R.Sh.. Total amount of funding: 912,000 (nine hundred and twelve thousand) euros.

1. PKK of the Ministry of Agriculture (action 1.1): Development of technology for the production of fruit desserts (dressings and configurations) enriched with natural nutrients and natural antioxidants. Head Shyngysov A.U. and the teaching staff of the department. Project amount - 84,600,000 tenge.
2. IRN AR project 19679729 The project "Development of technology for semi-smoked sausages from a meat substitute for functional purposes" for the amount of 85,387,806 thousand tenge was won in the competition for grant funding for scientific and scientific-technical projects for 2023-2025 announced by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 3. Projects within the framework of grant funding for 2025-2027: AP26199549 “Development of domestic highly effective yeast cultures to increase the competitiveness of dairy products in Kazakhstan”.
