289 graduates of Auezov University received the military rank of "lieutenant" in the reserve
A ceremony conferring the first reserve military rank of "lieutenant" was held for graduates who successfully completed their studies at the Military Faculty of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University.
In accordance with Order No. 204-OK of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 7, 2026, 289 university graduates who completed the full course of military training under the reserve officer program at the Military Faculty were awarded the first reserve military rank of "lieutenant" along with diplomas of completion from their higher and postgraduate educational institutions.
At the ceremony, Kurmangaly Sarykulov, member of the university board and First Vice-Rector, and Abdikhan Urustambekov, acting head of the Military Faculty, retired Lieutenant Colonel, congratulated the graduates and noted that this day is a shining example of courage, discipline, perseverance, and responsibility. They called on the young lieutenants to faithfully serve their country and uphold the honor of an officer. The graduates were awarded diplomas and shoulder straps for the reserve military rank of lieutenant.
Berik Omarov, Head of the University's Military Mobilization Department, a veteran of armed conflicts on the Tajik-Afghan border, recipient of the Order of Aibyn, and Reserve Colonel, also delivered a speech, congratulating the young officers and extending his best wishes for their faithful service to the Motherland.
We sincerely congratulate our graduates on receiving their first military rank! May they continue to be qualified and responsible officers who make a worthy contribution to the security and prosperity of independent Kazakhstan!
