Auezov University: priority tasks outlined in the context of the President’s Address

A regular meeting of the Academic Council was held at Auezov University. The meeting opened with a discussion of the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, entitled "Current Priorities of Kazakhstan at a New Historical Stage".
During the meeting, Mukhtar Tolegen Chairman of the Board and Rector of the University, ceremoniously presented departmental badges, certificates of honour and letters of appreciation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan to several representatives of the university’s academic community. In addition, students who had achieved outstanding results and excelled in national and republican competitions and contests were presented with special awards.
The Council’s agenda included issues related to the employment of the University’s 2026 graduates, strengthening cooperation with employers, the current state of the University Archives, preparations for international and national rankings, improvement of career guidance activities and digitalisation. The meeting also addressed the approval and re-approval of master’s students dissertation topics and academic supervisors, the appointment of academic advisors for doctoral students and the nomination of faculty members for the academic titles of "Associate Professor" and "Professor" as well as for state awards.
In addition, the Council considered the provision of tuition fee discounts to students for the 2026-2027 academic year, along with the approval of the University’s internal regulatory documents and regulations.
Following the meeting, relevant decisions were adopted on all agenda items and specific assignments were given to the heads of the University’s structural divisions.
