Issues at academic building №7 comprehensively reviewed

At Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University improving the quality of education covers the entire learning environment from classrooms to research laboratories. To this end Chairman of the Board - Rector Mukhtar Tolegen visited Academic Building No. 7 and familiarized himself with the activities of the Higher School of “Natural Sciences and Pedagogy”. The condition of classrooms and laboratories the opportunities provided for students and the building’s material and technical facilities were reviewed.
During the inspection areas requiring renovation were identified and a number of issues were discussed with the responsible specialists. In particular for students studying natural sciences, it is important to combine theory with practical training. A modern laboratory is not merely a classroom, it is an environment that encourages students to pursue research and contributes to the development of their scientific thinking. Therefore making effective use of the existing infrastructure and expanding its capabilities is one of the university’s important priorities.
“We will work together to create the necessary conditions for education and research. Students should have the opportunity not only to study theory but also to gain practical experience and engage in research. Therefore no issue in the university’s academic buildings will be overlooked. We must address the identified shortcomings step by step and make effective use of the available opportunities” said Chairman of the Board - Rector Mukhtar Tolegen.
At the Higher School of “Natural Sciences and Pedagogy” specialists in the natural sciences are trained alongside future teachers. The distinctive feature of this field is that along with education, emphasis is also placed on research. In this regard enhancing laboratory capabilities, modernizing the educational and practical facilities and creating the necessary conditions for implementing research projects will be among the key areas of future work.
The issues identified during the inspection of the academic building are not limited to a one day effort. Each of them will be considered in due course and addressed with specific solutions where possible. After all the quality of a university is measured not only by the appearance of its buildings but also by the outcomes of education and research carried out within those spaces. At the heart of this is the opportunities provided for students.
