Representatives of KATCO Joint Venture LLP, one of the country's leading Kazakh-French uranium mining enterprises, paid an official visit to the university to explore its scientific and innovative potential, as well as its educational opportunities.

During the meeting, the Vice-Rectors for Academic and Social and Educational Affairs, Ernar Imangaliyev and Gani Besbayev respectively, provided the guests with comprehensive information on the organisation of the academic process. Specifically, they presented the distinct features of the educational programmes, the quality of students' industrial internships, graduate employment initiatives and structured youth leisure activities.

In turn, Ainagul Ismagulova, KATCO's (France) Corporate Social Responsibility Director, expressed strong interest in the university's trilingual education policy, its modern laboratory infrastructure, and its systematic approach to training specialised personnel. She emphasised that combining education with industry is key to refining the professional qualifications of future specialists.

The discussion also covered the development of mutual cooperation focused on student industrial internships at KATCO, as well as subsequent employment opportunities. This initiative will undoubtedly open up new avenues for the professional development of young specialists.

Notably, during the 2025–2026 academic year, KATCO funded the tuition of over 20 fee-paying students from socially vulnerable groups.

At the end of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to fostering a mutually beneficial partnership and to implementing joint projects in the future.
