Auezov University students attend “Aqyl Tech/IT Aiel: AI & Finance” workshop

Amid ongoing global digital transformation, the Republic of Kazakhstan is pursuing an innovation-driven economy based on advanced technologies. Key national priorities include scaling up artificial intelligence solutions, digitising business processes and developing a robust technological ecosystem.
On 26 March 2026, students from group EP-24-12r, led by Dr I. M. Baubekova, Candidate of Economic Sciences and lecturer of the 'Ecosystem and Law' course, attended the 'Aqyl Tech / IT Aiel: AI & Finance' workshop, held at Tashenev University in Shymkent. The event aimed to enhance digital competencies, foster financial literacy and deepen understanding of modern tech trends.
The significance of the event was highlighted by the attendance of key officials, including Dinara Shcheglova, Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Sarsen Kuranbek, Deputy Akim of Shymkent. In their addresses, they emphasised the strategic role of digital technologies and AI in developing human capital, and the importance of equipping young people with the skills needed in the digital economy.
The workshop covered the application of AI in various domains, with a focus on using AI to generate income and increase professional efficiency. There was special attention given to building a financial mindset, diversifying income streams and applying fundamental personal finance principles.
During the session, students gained several key insights:

- core principles for staying safe and responsible online.
- Awareness of new monetisation paths within the digital economy.

After the workshop, participants had a clearer understanding of the role of technology in the modern economy and were more motivated to master digital tools.
