An International Teaching Summer School Concluded at Auezov University

The closing ceremony of the International Summer School for Central Asian Universities, dedicated to teaching methodology of French as a foreign language, was held at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University.
At the official gathering, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Yernar Imangaliyev, delivered welcoming addresses on behalf of the Rector. He expressed gratitude to the Embassy of France in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute, Poitiers University and the Alliance Française of Shymkent for their assistance in organising the summer school and delivering its rich program at a high academic level. The vice-rector noted that such projects contribute to the internationalisation of the domestic higher education system and the strengthening of international academic cooperation. He also proposed that the summer school should become an annual event.
The Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Affairs at the Embassy of France in Kazakhstan, Sébastien de Courtois, and the representative of Poitiers University, Licia Bagini, praised the work of the summer school. They thanked the university leadership for providing all the necessary conditions for hosting lectures and practical sessions.
Participating educators also shared positive feedback, noting the value of the experience and the professional connections gained. They expressed hope for the project's continued development.
For reference, the International Summer School took place from 25 May to 2 June, bringing together 35 French language teachers from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Four lecturers from Poitiers University delivered lectures and practical sessions to programme participants.
At the closing ceremony, certificates were awarded to all summer school participants. The event concluded with a commemorative photo session.
