Auezov University hosted a roundtable discussion dedicated to the new constitution

There are active efforts ongoing across the country to promote the new constitution widely and explain its key amendments, since it came into force on 1 July.
In this regard, M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University held a roundtable discussion with faculty members, undergraduates and graduate students..
Participants emphasised that the updated version of the Basic Law is a vital document that underpins a new era of state and societal development.
During the event, Doctor of Laws and Professor Aisana Smankyzy emphasised the role of the new constitution in the country's current stage of development, elaborating on the powers of the Constitutional Court and its significance in establishing a rule-of-law state, as well as the activities of the People's Council.
Meanwhile, Dr Ardak Montayev, Associate Professor, focused on the importance of preserving the national identity, code and values, offering a comprehensive explanation of the place of the National Kurultai in society and its role in strengthening national unity.
During the meeting, participants exchanged views and discussed how constitutional innovations contribute to sustainable development, the protection of citizens' rights and freedoms, and the formation of a fair society. Such insightful meetings enhance young people's legal literacy and foster their sense of civic responsibility.
