M. Auezov University presented 289 graduates with the military rank of Reserve Lieutenant

Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University hosted a ceremony to award the initial military rank of Reserve Lieutenant to graduates who had successfully completed the military department training program.
In accordance with Order No. 204-ОC of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dated 7 July 2026, 289 university graduates who completed the full military training course under the Reserve Officers Programm were awarded the military rank of Reserve Lieutenant alongside their higher education and postgraduate diplomas.
During the ceremony, the University's Board Member and First Vice-Rector, Kurmangaly Sarykulov, and the Acting Head of the Military Department and Lieutenant Colonel of the Reserve, Abdikhan Urustambekov, congratulated the graduates. They emphasised that this day represents courage, discipline, perseverance and responsibility. They urged the young lieutenants to serve their country faithfully and to uphold the honour of an officer. They then presented the graduates with their diplomas and shoulder straps for the rank of Reserve Lieutenant.
The Head of the University's Military Mobilisation Department, a veteran of armed conflicts on the Tajik-Afghan border and recipient of the Order of Aibyn, Colonel of the Reserve Berik Omarov, also addressed the audience. He congratulated the young officers and wished them to serve Motherland faithfully.
