The results of the QS World University Rankings-2027

The results of the QS World University Rankings-2027, which is published annually by the British company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), which specializes in the analysis of the global higher education market, have been published.
This year, M. Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University moved up from 6th to 5th place among universities in Kazakhstan. Among the top 1,504 universities worldwide, it is ranked 781st.
8,808 universities from all over the world took part in the sample, of which 1,504 universities from 106 countries were included in the ranking of the best, including 18 universities from Kazakhstan.
The university's position in the list is determined based on nine criteria:
1) Authority and recognition in the academic community,
2) Reputation among employers,
3) Ratio of faculty to student body,
4) Share of faculty and researchers with publications in highly ranked scientific journals
5) International collaboration index - the number of publications in collaboration with foreign colleagues with non-zero citations (excluding self-citations), indexed by Scopus over a five-year period per employee;
6) Graduate employment rate and number of outstanding graduates;
7) Sustainable Development Goals - research within the SDGs;
8) Share of international students
9) Share of international faculty.
