«Chemistry – 2026: The Foundation of Sustainable Development of Science and Industry» international conference has begun

The chemical industry is one of the most vital sectors of the Kazakhstani economy. In order to strengthen the relationship between science and industry in this sector, the international scientific and practical conference 'Chemistry – 2026: The Foundation of Sustainable Development of Science and Industry' has begun at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University.
At the opening ceremony, the Chairman of the Board and Rector, Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki, read out a congratulatory message from Sayasat Nurbek, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and wished the conference participants fruitful work.
Academician of the NAS RK M.M. Burkitbaev delivered the next speech. In his report on the topic 'Academician A.B. Bekturov — the founder of chemical science and education in Kazakhstan', he provided a detailed overview of domestic chemical science and the scientist's work.

Baeshov delivered welcoming speeches and noted modern achievements in chemical science and its importance for the development of the country's economy. Congratulations in an online format were also extended by Nazarbayev University Professor, PhD (Chemistry) N. Nurai, Director of the Branch of the D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia in Taraz N.A. Makarov, and Leading Researcher at Arizona State University (USA), PhD A.O. Balabiev.
During the conference, a ceremony was held to sign memorandum of partnership with 'EcoPharm International' LLP, 'Shymkentcement' LLP and 'Shymkent Chemical Company' LLP. The aim of this partnership is to strengthen the relationship between science and industry.
The international conference was attended by scientists and experts from Kazakhstan, China, Poland and Pakistan, who shared their experiences of sustainable scientific, innovative and industrial development. Plenary speakers:
