A meeting was held with a delegation from the Republic of Korea headed by Consul General Ha Tae Wuk

On April 10, 2026, Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University hosted a meeting with a delegation from the Republic of Korea, led by the Consul General in Almaty, Mr. Ha Tae Wuk.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen cooperation in the fields of education, science, and culture, as well as to discuss new avenues for collaboration with Korean universities.
Particular attention was given to the activities of the King Sejong Institute, established at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University in 2018. This project has become an important platform for promoting the Korean language and culture, as well as for strengthening academic ties between Kazakhstan and Korea.
The Consul General noted the high level of student training and expressed readiness to support further development of the partnership. The university leadership emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation with leading universities of the Republic of Korea, known for their innovative educational practices.
As part of the visit, a reception was also organized for the students of the King Sejong Institute, providing an excellent opportunity for informal communication with members of the delegation and for gaining insight into elements of Korean culture.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed confidence in the successful implementation of new joint initiatives.
