Malaysian Academic Praises Student Startup Projects

During a working trip to Auezov University, Prof.Madya Dr. Hizmawati Binti Madzin from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) met with student start-up project leaders. During her visit, she met the winners of the “My First Startup” business idea competition and familiarised herself with their projects.
One project in particular made a strong impression: the startup “Natural Energy — National Taste”. This project was developed by Dana Sarypbek and Merei Shabdanbek, students at the Higher School of Textile and Food Engineering. They presented the idea of producing healthy oat bars made with traditional kurt, nuts, and dried fruits. This project earned them the competition's grand prize, as well as a 500,000 tenge grant.
Dr Hizmawati personally sampled the startup’s products and was highly impressed by their potential. In her opinion, they are healthy, environmentally friendly products with strong potential in both the domestic and international markets.
The students noted that they intend to further develop the project and work towards its implementation at production level.
