Republican Forum “Adal Bilim – Adal Urpaq” was held

A republican forum titled “Adal Bilim – Adal Urpaq” was held at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, organized by the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs. The event was timed to coincide with International Anti-Corruption Day, observed annually on December 9, and aimed to promote a culture of academic integrity and ethical conduct in the field of education.
The large-scale forum brought together heads of higher education institutions and educational organizations from the city of Shymkent, as well as representatives of regional departments, local executive bodies, and educational institutions who joined the discussion via the ZOOM platform.
Speakers at the forum included Chairman of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Zhazykbai, Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Education Zhuldyz Suleimenova, and Rector of Karaganda National Research University Nurlan Dulatbekov. They emphasized the importance of academic honesty as a foundation for quality education and scientific research.
As part of the event, a Memorandum and Roadmap for cooperation were signed between the Academic Integrity League and interested organizations.
The forum included two panel sessions:
- a session for higher education institutions;
- a session for secondary and technical education organisations.
Participants discussed the mechanisms for ensuring academic integrity, effective management practices, and ways to foster a culture of ethical behaviour within educational institutions during the sessions.
