From 2009 to 2012, he served as the Head of the Department for the Coordination of New Technical Equipment Development at the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan. - The mission of the Scientific and Production Center for Agricultural Engineering and Technologies (SPC A&T) is to generate new knowledge through fundamental and applied scientific research, experimental design and development, and the creation of next-generation technologies and machinery. The Center is committed to accelerating the transfer of research outcomes into production and addressing the mechanization needs of the real sector of the economy in the southern region.
- The Center promotes the integration of science, education, and industry by establishing an Agrotechnology Hub within the research university. It provides a supportive environment for researchers of the Faculty of Agriculture and enhances student education through research by actively involving students in cutting-edge scientific projects.

Type of Research: Fundamental and applied research, experimental design and development (R&D).
Goal of Research and Development (R&D): Intensification of agricultural production through the development, creation, and implementation of specialized, high-performance, and highly efficient agricultural and land reclamation machines, units, and implements aggregated with Class 0.6, 0.9, and 1.4 tractors, enabling the implementation of a full range of mechanized operations in crop production, livestock farming, and small-scale mechanization for farmers, peasant farms, and private household farms with small land holdings in the southern region of the country.
Technical support for the modernization of farmers' and peasant farms, agricultural product processing, industrial vegetable and melon production, and horticultural and viticultural farms in the southern region of Kazakhstan.
Research Methods: Literature review, study of the current state of the art, and patent research. Theoretical studies using the principles of agricultural engineering and theoretical mechanics to substantiate the structural and technological design of the machines and their operating modes, as well as the parameters of the working bodies, the operating modes of the mechanisms, and the machine as a whole. Technical specifications for the manufacture of an experimental prototype of each machine included in the machine complex will be developed. Experimental studies will be carried out to verify and refine the results of the theoretical studies using bench testing and laboratory-field experimental facilities. Experimental prototypes of the developed machines, units, and implements will be manufactured. Testing of the experimental prototypes of the machines and units will be conducted. Commercialization of the results of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities (R&D results).
The research and development (R&D) activities will be carried out through international cooperation between the scientists of the Scientific and Production Center "Agroengineering and Technologies" of M. Azizov South Kazakhstan Innovation University (SKIU), the scientists of the Laboratory of Mechanization of Horticulture and Vegetable Growing of the Research Institute of Agricultural Mechanization of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the scientists of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME National Research University).
OBJECTIVES OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (R&D): Design, development, manufacture, production, and testing of new agricultural and land reclamation machinery. Development of mechanized technologies. Modernization of existing domestic and foreign machinery, as well as existing technological production lines at workshops and manufacturing plants.
EXPECTED RESULTS: Introduction of new-generation agricultural and land reclamation machinery and implements into the agro-industrial complex (AIC), combining traditional agricultural machinery engineering with modern intensive agricultural technologies.
Implementation of precision agriculture systems, energy-saving and water-saving technologies based on the electrification, automation, and digitalization of mechanized technologies for cultivation, irrigation, and crop management—from soil preparation to harvesting—as well as for the mechanization of livestock production processes.
Strengthening the material and technical base of the Scientific and Production Center “Agroengineering and Technologies” (SPC A&T). Preparation of new textbooks and educational programs based on newly generated knowledge, and training of innovative specialists.
Development of mechanized technologies and technical means for small-scale mechanization for small peasant and farmer farms and private household farms in the southern region of the country. Development of “Smart Technologies” for the advancement of the agro-industrial complex (AIC). Accelerated implementation of research, development, and engineering (R&D) results.

Establishment of a Small Machine and Technology Station (SMTS) to provide technical and technological services to agricultural producers.
Introduction and dissemination of advanced intensive agricultural production technologies in the real sector of the economy of the southern region.
Commercialization of the results of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities (R&D), including the establishment of specialized workshops for the manufacture of agricultural and land reclamation machinery, the establishment of small agricultural processing plants, the creation of new production facilities and new jobs for rural agricultural producers, organization of production, and generation of profit.

Kozhaniyazov; to the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akhylbek Kurishbayev; to the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek; and to the Chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Darkhan Akhmed-Zaki. The achievements were also presented at numerous forums, exhibitions (including those organized by the Science Foundation JSC), and scientific seminars.

Completed Research Projects and Programs (2017–2024):
1. No. 257-17-GC "Organization of Small-Scale Production of 2PTSKh-10-45 Self-Unloading Tractor Trailers Intended for the Transportation of Seed Cotton" (2017–2020), Science Foundation JSC, Commercialization of the Results of Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activities (2017–2020). Project Leader – B.E. Kalymbetov. Funding Amount – KZT 225,000,000. The project was successfully completed. Small-scale production of 2PTSKh-10-45 self-unloading tractor trailers was organized. Products worth more than KZT 150 million were sold to customers.

This Scientific and Technical Program under PTF was successfully completed and rapidly implemented in the agro-industrial complex (AIC) of the Turkestan Region on an area of 9,700 hectares within 2,771 projects, in accordance with the protocol instruction of the Akim of the Turkestan Region, U.E. Shukeyev. More than 20 field scientific and practical seminars were conducted in all districts of the region during 2019–2023.







Based on the results of the implementation of the new intensive technology for obtaining three harvests per year of vegetable and melon crops under open-field conditions, the Akim of the Region, U. Shukeyev, personally reported to the Prime Minister A. Mamin that the new technology generates an additional KZT 18.0 billion per year for the agro-industrial complex of the Turkestan Region.
The Head of the Scientific and Technical Program under Program-Targeted Funding (PTF), B.E. Kalymbetov, was awarded the medal "Oblysqa Siñirgen Eñbegi Üşin" ("For Meritorious Service to the Region").

Within the framework of the project implementation, an experimental-industrial batch of the domestic RPM-2KZ two-row mounted transplanter for transplanting vegetable and melon seedlings was manufactured at the KARLSKRONA FD LC LLP plant, Shymkent (2021).
Testing of the RPM-2KZ two-row mounted transplanter was carried out, and positive results were obtained.
The RPM-2KZ transplanter was successfully presented to the Akim of Shymkent City and the Minister of Science and Higher Education, S. Nurbek. A Field Day was conducted.
The machine was also presented at exhibitions.
The RPM-2KZ transplanter is ready for commercialization and small-scale production.

1.Small-Scale Production of 2PTSKh-10-45 Tractor Trailers
Application
Designed for the transportation of agricultural cargo, including seed cotton, grain, fodder, fertilizers, construction materials, as well as other bulk and packaged goods. The trailer is effectively used in field operations, on farmer and peasant farms, and for the harvesting, loading, and transportation of agricultural products.
Advantages
- Improves the efficiency of loading and unloading seed cotton through the improved trailer body design and low bottom-unloading height;
- The large body capacity (45 m³) and payload capacity of up to 10 tons enable efficient operation in combination with high-performance cotton harvesting machinery;
- Reduces the transportation cost by KZT 225–300 per ton-kilometer;
- Market price of the 2PTSKh-10-45 tractor trailer: KZT 5.2 million;
- Products manufactured under the project have been sold for a total value exceeding KZT 150.0 million.
2. RPM-2KZ Mounted Transplanter
Application
The RPM-2KZ mounted two-row transplanter is designed for transplanting seedlings from all types of seedling trays into both open fields and mulched soil. It is suitable for planting cabbage, tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, garlic, melons, watermelons, and other vegetable and melon crops. The machine promotes the use of seedling cultivation technology, which makes it possible to obtain early crop production.
Advantages
- The RPM-2KZ has no competitors in the domestic market of vegetable planting machinery for transplanting seedlings into mulched soil.
- The project product—the RPM-2KZ transplanter—ensures high-quality transplanting of vegetable and melon seedlings on both mulched and open soil, with excellent operational and agrotechnical performance.
- An experimental-industrial batch of 3 units has been manufactured at the KARLSKRONA plant, Shymkent.
3. KPA-1.8KZ Mounted Combined Unit for Minimum Tillage (Experimental Prototype)
Application
The KPA-1.8KZ mounted combined tillage unit is designed to perform several technological operations simultaneously: minimum tillage and localized two-row application of mineral fertilizers.
Advantages
- Performs minimum tillage;
- Provides two-row, two-level application of mineral fertilizers;
- Enables several technological operations to be carried out in a single pass;
- Reduces the costs of soil cultivation and fertilizer application;
- Increases labor productivity.
An experimental prototype has been designed and manufactured. The prototype has been tested by Almaty-Standard, with positive test results.
4. KAFG-1.2 Mounted Unit for Ridge Formation, Drip Tape Laying, and Mulch Film Covering
Application
The KAFG-1.2 mounted unit for ridge formation, drip tape laying, and mulch film covering is designed for soil preparation and the creation of a mulched seedbed with the simultaneous laying of drip irrigation tape and polyethylene mulch film before the mechanized transplanting of vegetable seedlings onto mulched ridges under the irrigated conditions of southern Kazakhstan.
An experimental prototype of the KAFG-1.2 machine has been developed and tested.
Advantages
- Performs pre-sowing soil leveling and forms ridges of the required shape and density;
- Lays soil-mulching polyethylene film;
- Secures the edges of the polyethylene mulch film;
- An improved version of the KAFG-1.2 was manufactured during 2025–2026;
5. ShO-KZ Mounted Boom Sprayer for Biological Treatment and Chemical Protection of Vegetable Crops
Application
The ShO-KZ mounted boom sprayer for biological treatment and chemical protection of vegetable crops is designed for the biological treatment of crops and the protection of vegetable plants against weeds, diseases, and pests by spraying liquid chemical and microbiological preparations with reduced application rates through directed spraying using boom nozzles under irrigated farming conditions.
During 2025–2026, a mini sprayer for the biological treatment and chemical protection of vegetable crops, based on a mini tractor, was developed and manufactured.
Advantages
The ShO-KZ mounted boom sprayer is equipped with a spraying mechanism and working units for the application of chemical and biological plant protection products approved for use in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Designed for foliar feeding of vegetable crops by spraying liquid complex fertilizers and biological products at low application rates;
- Provides spraying of vegetable crops with chemical plant protection products to control pests and plant diseases.
6. KMOOBK-2.1KZ Mounted Cultivator for Strip Tillage of Combined Inter-Row Spaces of Vegetable and Melon Crops
Application
The KMOOBK-2.1KZ mounted cultivator for strip tillage of combined inter-row spaces of vegetable and melon crops is designed for strip cultivation of narrow inter-row spaces of vegetable crops. The machine is adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of Southern Kazakhstan and to the requirements of crop cultivation technology on irrigated agricultural land in the region.
An experimental prototype of the KMOOBK-2.1KZ has been manufactured and tested.
Advantages
- High machine productivity per hour of effective operating time;
- Requires a minimum number of operating personnel;
- Ensures high-quality performance of the technological process.
The optimum machine settings are determined on a field with similar soil and crop conditions. The selected settings are recorded in the field log or the test log. The operating speed is selected in accordance with the requirements specified in the manufacturer's operating manual.
7. PUA-1.2KZ Mounted Unit for Collecting Used Polyethylene Mulch Film
Application
The PUA-1.2KZ mounted unit for collecting used polyethylene mulch film is designed for the mechanized collection of used polyethylene mulch film after the crop residues have been mowed when cultivating agricultural crops on mulched soil under the irrigated farming conditions of Southern Kazakhstan.
An experimental prototype of the PUA-1.2KZ has been manufactured and tested.

- Ensures a precisely adjusted and uniformly maintained working depth;
- Separates and cleans the soil covering the edges of the mulch film;
8. Peeling Machine for Melon and Watermelon Crops
Application
The Peeling Machine for Melon and Watermelon Fruits is designed for peeling melons, watermelons, zucchinis, and other products of elongated shape and similar hardness. It is intended for use in catering establishments and food processing facilities. Peeling is performed by removing the skin with a C-shaped blade in a spiral motion (from top to bottom or from bottom to top).
An experimental prototype of the machine has been designed and manufactured, and laboratory tests have been carried out.9. Four-Row Mounted Potato Planter
Application of the Four-Row Mounted Potato Planter
A new advanced technology for early potato cultivation and technical support for small-scale farming has been developed for the production of early potatoes under the conditions of the southern region of the country, making it possible to obtain ultra-early potato production in open fields.
Research and development (R&D) work has been carried out to develop a high-performance four-row mounted potato planter.
The objective of the project is to improve the quality of the potato tuber planting process by determining the optimal parameters of the chain-and-cup planting mechanism.
An experimental prototype of the four-row mounted potato planter has been developed.
Field trials were conducted on an area of more than 6 hectares, and positive results were obtained.10. Two-Row Mounted Potato Planter
Application of the Two-Row Mounted Potato Planter
Research, development, and engineering (R&D) work has been carried out to develop a compact two-row mounted potato planter.
The objective of the project is to improve the quality of potato tuber planting by determining the optimum parameters of the chain-and-cup planting mechanism.
An experimental prototype of the two-row mounted potato planter has been developed.
Field trials were conducted on an area of more than 3 hectares, and positive results were obtained.
The machine reduces damage to potato tubers during mechanical planting by using optimum machine settings, selecting potato varieties resistant to mechanical damage, and applying appropriate transportation methods.During the improvement of the two-row mounted potato planter, a number of design modifications were introduced to adjust the existing parameters, increase operating efficiency, and reduce losses caused by damage to sprouted potato tubers.
The following improvements were implemented during the modernization process:
- Additional chain tension rollers were installed, allowing precise adjustment of the chain pitch and, consequently, the spacing between tubers during planting (planting density), resulting in a more uniform distribution of tubers.
- Specially designed planting cups (spoon-type holders) were developed for planting pre-sprouted potatoes without damaging the sprouts, thereby minimizing injury to the sprouts of germinated potato tubers.
11. Compact Potato Harvester
Application of the KPM-2KZ Compact Potato Harvester
The KPM-2KZ compact potato harvester, based on a walking tractor, was designed, manufactured, developed, and tested jointly with researchers from Namangan Technical University.
The machine is intended for the mechanized harvesting of ultra-early potatoes on small plots, private household farms, and household gardens.
Application
The machine is designed for small peasant and farmer farms.
Testing and Design Improvement
Based on the results of field tests conducted at the Birlesu experimental site, technical deficiencies were identified in the drive system of the KPM-2KZ compact potato harvester based on a walking tractor.
The design of the compact potato harvester was improved, including the modernization of the drive mechanism, in which the belt drive was replaced.
The improved machine was tested using a Kubota compact tractor of Japanese manufacture.
Positive test results were obtained12.Drag Rake (Volokusha Type)
The design of a mounted drag rake (Volokusha type) was developed by Turdaly Zhandarbek, an engineer of the Scientific and Production Center.
An experimental prototype was manufactured.
Field trials were conducted.
