Since june 1, the swimming pool of the sports complex "Densaulyk" of the M.Auezov SKU resumes its work

On June 1, 2023, the opening ceremony of the swimming pool of the sports complex "Densaulyk" of the M.Auezov SKU took place.

In his message, the head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that "The issue of strengthening the health of the nation is always relevant. The development of mass sports and the creation of favorable conditions in the country is one of our main tasks," One of the university's missions is to establish public relations. The accessibility of the sports complex for students, the education of the younger generation, sports and the formation of a comprehensively harmoniously developed personality is an important public issue. One of the main goals of the opening of the sports complex is the training of new personnel at the university on the basis of the new educational program "Sports management, swimming and coaching".

Along with this event, the opening of the Republican Swimming Tournament among young men born in 2011 and younger will take place. The tournament will be attended by 23 teams consisting of 368 athletes from 13 regions of Kazakhstan. Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek sent a congratulatory letter to the staff of M.Auezov South Kazakhstan University in view of these events.

Mayor of the city of Aitenov Murat Duissenbekovich congratulated on the opening of the sports complex and wished the university staff, students and residents to always be closer to sports, work hard on the improvement of the country and was glad that huge opportunities are being created for our youth.

Located in the open air, the swimming pool of the sports complex, widely known to the population, meets Olympic standards in size. This sports complex provides a discount for children from large and low-income families. In the future, the swimming pool will be open all year round for university students and citizens in order to form a healthy lifestyle among the population and develop mass sports.

The event was attended by members of the City Council of Veterans, state and public figures, members of the Public Council of Shymkent, sports veterans, the best university teachers and deputies of the city maslikhat.

Also, on this day, our university was visited by the Chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ahmed-Zaki Darkhan Zhumakanovich.
During the visit, Darkhan Zhumakanovich met with leading scientists of the university, got acquainted with the exhibition of scientific achievements of scientists, scientific laboratories and the scientific exhibition "Vectors of integration of university science into the economy of the region".

For the scientists of the University, Ahmed-Zaki D. J. made a report on the draft law "Science and Technology Policy", topical issues of science and suggested ways to promote the national innovation system for the development of science and technological initiatives.
