An educational visit to the university by students of the "Education and innovation" Lyceum for Boys in Shymkent.
On October 1, the Higher School of Textile and Food Engineering at Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University organized an educational event for students from the Boys' Educational Lyceum in Shymkent as part of an Open Day.
The primary goal of the event was to introduce school students to higher education opportunities, provide guidance on choosing a future profession, and offer comprehensive information about the educational programs offered by the Higher School of Textile and Food Engineering. During the meeting, the students were introduced to the 11 educational programs conducted by the school. Explanations were provided regarding the content, distinctive features, and professional focus of each program, as well as the practical skills students acquire during their studies.
In addition, the students toured the teaching and research laboratories, which are equipped in accordance with the educational programs. They were shown the specifics of the practical work conducted in these laboratories and learned about the importance of modern equipment in the educational process.
A highlight of the event was a demonstration of food preparation technology within the field of food engineering. Students were introduced to the stages of food product development, technological processes, and the specifics of obtaining the finished product, with the actual preparation process demonstrated in practice.
During the tour, students asked questions of interest and obtained necessary information about the various professions and educational programs.
The Open Day provided school students with the opportunity not only to explore the university's educational facilities but also to identify their own interests and future career paths.
