TEX4FUTURE: Textile Manufacturing for the Future in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan ERASMUS-101128738-EDU-2023-CBHE
From May 14 to 21, 2025, a high-level training program took place in the hospitable city of Izmir as part of the international TEX4FUTURE project. The event brought together academic teams from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to enhance collaboration and knowledge exchange in textile education and research.
Professor Asil Deir delivered lectures on “Textile Finishing” and “Chemical Testing of Textiles.” In addition, she conducted laboratory sessions focused on the analysis of chemical and physical properties of textile materials using specialized testing equipment.
Professors Oktay Pamuk and Mehmet Küçük led the delegations during visits to textile and apparel enterprises, where participants were introduced to production processes and technological practices in real-world settings. Professor Mehmet Küçük also delivered a lecture on “Clothing Technology,” emphasizing current trends and innovations in garment manufacturing.
The program also included cultural activities. As part of the cultural program, participants visited the Museum of Ethnography and the Paper and Book Arts Museum, gaining insight into local heritage and traditional arts.
