A Round Table Dedicated to the Discussion of the Book “To a Just Society – An Honest Word
On September 16, the Department of General History and Museum Studies of the Faculty of History and Pedagogy held a round table dedicated to the discussion of the book “Әділетті қоғамға – шыншыл сөз” by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, with the participation of faculty members and students.
The event was opened with welcoming remarks by Gulzhan Kobeykyzy Otarbayeva, Head of the Department of General History and Museum Studies, who emphasized the relevance and importance of the book.
During the round table, presentations were delivered by Gulnur Bekmuratovna Narymbet, PhD, Senior Lecturer; Erzhan Pazilov, PhD, Senior Lecturer; Suykim Tolembayevna Musaeva, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor; and Arailym Erlankyzy, Master’s degree holder and Lecturer. In their presentations, they shared their views on issues raised in the book, including state-building, justice, civil society, preservation of historical consciousness, and national values.
The faculty members exchanged views on the pedagogical and educational significance of the book, as well as the possibilities of incorporating its ideas into the educational process. The students also shared their impressions of the book and highlighted the importance of the author’s reflections on honesty and justice in society.
In conclusion, the participants emphasized the significance of the book for contemporary Kazakhstani society as an important socio-political and educational source. They also stressed the importance of regularly organizing similar round-table discussions.
