Results of the Industrial Practice of Students of the Educational Program “Archaeology and Ethnology”
On September 8, 2026, the Department of General History and Museum Studies held a final conference to discuss the reports on industrial practice completed by the third-year students of Group 23-6k of the 6B02230 – Archaeology and Ethnology educational program.
The students completed their industrial practice at the Shymkala Historical and Cultural Complex. During the practice, they familiarized themselves with the structure and activities of the historical and cultural complex and studied historical and cultural sites related to the history of Shymkent. They also examined archaeological and ethnographic materials, museum exhibitions and exhibition halls, observed the specifics of conducting excursions, and collected the necessary information.
During the practice, the students became familiar with activities related to the preservation, study, and promotion of historical artifacts. They also had the opportunity to apply in practice the theoretical knowledge acquired within their educational program.
The supervisor of Group 23-6k, P.Zh. Kerimova, highlighted the students’ experience during their industrial practice and wished them success in effectively applying the knowledge and practical skills they had acquired in their future professional careers.
The members of the commission for evaluating the results of the industrial practice were:
• Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor G.K. Otbarbayeva;
• Senior Lecturer G.Ye. Mirzamseitova;
• Master’s Degree holder, Lecturer Arailym Erlankyzy
