“LIBRARIES IN THE AGE OF AI – THE BEGINNING OF CHANGE” AN INSIGHTFUL MEETING WAS HELD AS PART OF THE 5TH NATIONAL REPUBLICAN FESTIVAL “KITAP TIME – 2026”
On September 11, 2026, an insightful meeting on the topic “Libraries in the Age of AI – The Beginning of Change” was held in the “Good City Hall” of the Al-Farabi City Scientific and Universal Library as part of the 5th National Republican Festival “KITAP time – 2026”.
During the event, participants received valuable information and shared their views on the potential of artificial intelligence in the library sector, the impact of modern technologies on library services, and new directions for the development of libraries in the digital era.
The meeting was attended by 1st, 3rd, and 4th-year students of the 6B03210 – “Library Science” educational program at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, as well as their group supervisor, R. S. Labenova.
The meeting provided students with an opportunity to expand their professional knowledge, learn about current trends in librarianship, and gain a deeper understanding of the role of libraries in the age of artificial intelligence.
