At the August meeting of the Silicate Technology and Metallurgy Department, the department's work plan and educational outreach plan for the 2024-2025 academic year were reviewed and approved. At the beginning of the academic year, a mentoring session was held for all first-year students, and class monitors were elected. At the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic year, the Department of Education posted educational outreach topics for all groups on the class website.
Department curators conducted educational work with the students in the group. In accordance with the educational work topics planned for the 2024-2025 academic year with the approved curatorial groups, curatorial hours were held in each group on a timely basis. They collected detailed information about their groups. Each group's curators held curatorial hours for their groups, training and communicating the university's internal regulations, the organization of educational activities, and the rules of student conduct and ethics.
At each meeting, the need was expressed to discuss student performance and participation in the group, discuss rankings and session results, conduct analysis (working with underperforming students as individual group activists, informing their parents), identify orphans, semi-orphans, and students from low-income (social) groups, ensure they receive benefits and assistance provided by the university and administration, and report information about them to the dean's office. All necessary documents have been submitted to the dean's office.
The group introduced the mentors to the mentoring methodology and a guide to student etiquette. Students living in the dorms were given lessons on cleanliness, order, and academic performance.
The Department of Silicate Technology and Metallurgy comprises 18 groups, led by 12 supervisors, and a total of 139 students (including those admitted). There are two international students (two from Uzbekistan). There are 26 students with large families. There are eight students from single-parent families. There are two students with Group 2 disabilities. There are 13 students living in dormitories.
CIVIC -PATRIOTIC EDUCATION
2.1 A mentoring hour was held to analyze the annual Address of the Head of State K.Zh.K.Tokayev.

During the hour, a broad discussion took place on the main sections of the Address: socioeconomic development, education, healthcare, youth policy, legal reforms, and initiatives within the "Fair Kazakhstan" concept. Students shared their thoughts and proposals for the future of our country.
"The youth of today's independent country are tomorrow's leaders. Therefore, you must not be indifferent to the country's future. Knowing the President's Address is a sign of your attentiveness to our country's development path."
2.2 Participation in legal education work to develop the legal culture of the younger generation with the involvement of interested parties.
In order to form the legal culture of the younger generation by involving interested parties, explanatory legal work was carried out in the groups HT -24-8k , HT-24-18k , HT-24-21k, HT- 24-2k , HT - 24-3k, HT- 23-2k, HT- 23-2tk, HT- 23-18k , HT-23-18tr , HT-23-8k , HT-22-2k, HT - 22-18k, HT- 22-18tk , HT-22-18a, HT-22-8dr, HT-21-2k, HT-21-8tk, HT-24-2ru . The purpose of the event is to improve students' legal literacy, educate them on rights and responsibilities, prevent crime, and foster a culture of respect for the law.
Law enforcement officials and legal experts were invited to participate in the outreach activities. They explained the basic provisions of the Republic of Kazakhstan's legislation, the most common types of youth crimes, and the penalties for committing them. The experts provided accessible and comprehensive answers to the participants' questions.
2.3 Participation in a meeting with representatives of law enforcement agencies on the topic of financial literacy .
In order to improve the financial literacy of students and prevent fraud, a meeting was organized with the participation of representatives of law enforcement agencies, and a mentoring event was held in the groups HT - 24-8k , HT -24-18k , HT -24-21k , HT- 24-2k , HT -24-3k , HT-23-2k , HT-23-2tk , HT-23-18k , HT-23-18tr, HT - 23-8k , HT- 22-2k, HT- 22-18k , HT-22-18tk , HT -22-18a, HT-22-8dr, HT-21-2k, HT-21-8tk, HT-24-2ru . The event's goal is to introduce young people to the basics of financial security, provide information about modern types of financial fraud, and teach them how to effectively and legally manage their finances.
During the meeting, law enforcement officials discussed financial crime methods, online and telephone scams, and provided specific examples. Participants were also given recommendations on how to protect themselves from fraud, ensure personal data security, and take precautions when making online payments.
2.4 Participation in meetings with representatives of law enforcement agencies
In order to improve students' legal literacy and foster a culture of compliance with legal requirements, a meeting was organized with representatives of law enforcement agencies, and explanatory work was conducted during a mentoring hour in the groups HT-24-8k, HT-24-18k, HT-24-21k, HT-24-2k, HT -24-3k , HT-23-2k , HT - 23-2tk , HT - 23-18k, HT-23-18tr, HT-23-8k, HT- 22-2k , HT -22-18k, HT -22-18tk, HT-22-18a, HT - 22-8dr, HT-21-2k, HT-21-8tk, HT-24-2ru .
During the event, law enforcement officials provided young people with comprehensive information about the legal framework of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the rights and responsibilities of citizens, and crime prevention measures. They also discussed legal issues and their consequences common in society, as well as administrative offenses common among students.
The meeting was held in the format of a free interview, and specific answers were given to the questions posed by the students.
2.5. Mentoring hour “The dawn of independence is eternal.”
To commemorate Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a mentoring hour on the topic "The Eternal Dawn of Independence" was held in groups HT-21-2k, HT-22-2k, HT-22-18a, and HT-22-8dr . The goal of the event was to explain the historical significance of Independence to students, explore Kazakhstan's achievements as a sovereign state, and foster patriotic values.
The hour-long discussion focused on the historical stages of independence, the heroism of the liberating soldiers, and the development paths of modern Kazakhstan. Students were shown a documentary film and engaged in a free exchange of opinions on the topic "My Independent Kazakhstan."
- 6. Mentoring hour “ October 25 – Republic Day ”.
On October 25, a mentoring hour dedicated to Republic Day was held in groups HT-21-2k, HT-22-2k, HT-22-18a, and HT-22-8dr . The goal of the event was to explain the historical significance of Republic Day, introduce students to the important stages in Kazakhstan's development as a sovereign state, and instill a sense of patriotism.
During the hour, historical facts related to Republic Day and the significance of the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Kazakh SSR in 1990 were revealed. Information was also presented on the achievements and development path of independent Kazakhstan, and students shared their thoughts.
The event included quizzes, questions and answers, and creative discussions that strengthened the young people's love and sense of responsibility for their country.
2.7. Laying wreaths at the Glory memorial on Victory Day.
On May 9, students from groups HT-22-2k, HT-22-18tk, HT-22-18a, HT-22-8dr, and HT-22-18k, along with their supervisors, laid wreaths at the Eternal Flame monument in Abay Park in honor of the heroic deeds of soldiers in the Great Patriotic War.
2.8. Mentoring hour “State symbols – the pride of the nation.”
To commemorate the Day of State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a mentoring hour on the topic "State Symbols – the Pride of the Nation" was held in groups HT-24-18k, HT-24-21k, and HT-24-8k. The goal of the event was to explain the history and significance of state symbols (the flag, coat of arms, and anthem) to students, and to foster respect for state symbols and a sense of patriotism.
During the hour, information was presented about the creators of state symbols, their ideological content, and historical significance. Students answered questions about the symbols, recited poems on the topic, and shared their thoughts. Additionally, a video was shown and the role of symbols as symbols of national unity and independence was discussed.
2.9. Mentoring Hour on Artificial Intelligence
A mentoring hour was held on the topic of artificial intelligence, where the main capabilities of artificial intelligence and the principle of its operation were explained, and all students were enrolled in online courses on artificial intelligence on the Huawei platform. Students of groups XT-24-8k, XT-24-18k, XT-24-21k , XT - 24-2k, XT - 24-3k , XT - 23-2k , XT - 23-2tk, XT-23-18k, XT -23-18tr, XT- 23-8k, XT - 22-2k , XT-22-18k , XT-22-18tk , XT-22-18a, XT-22-8dr, XT-21-2k, XT-21-8tk, XT-24-2ru .
2.10. Curatorial hours on the topics "Drug addiction - a dangerous disease of society" and "Gambling addiction. Prevention of gambling."
Supervised workshops were held on the topics "Drug Addiction – a Dangerous Social Disease" and "Ludomania. Gambling Addiction Prevention." The main goal of these events was to develop students' understanding of the consequences of harmful habits, particularly drug addiction and gambling addiction, discuss prevention methods, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
During the mentor hour, information was presented on the physical, psychological, and social harm of drug addiction and gambling. Furthermore, real-life examples were used to demonstrate the impact of these diseases on a person's life. Discussions, questions, and video screenings were also organized among students on the topic. The events were preventative and educational in nature, helping to develop a conscious attitude among young people toward quitting bad habits.
SPIRITUAL AND HUMANITARIAN EDUCATION
In accordance with the educational work plan, the group curators held curatorial hours on topics that explored the meaning and purpose of students' spiritual and aesthetic education. Students and group curators congratulated the students on International Students' Day and discussed various student perspectives.
3.1. Mentoring hour “A strong nation is formed in the family” in connection with the celebration of Family Day on the 2nd Sunday of September.
On Family Day, which is celebrated annually in Kazakhstan, a mentoring hour on the topic "A strong nation is formed in the family " was held in the groups HT- 24-8k, HT -24-18k, HT- 24-21k , HT-24-2k, HT - 24-3k , HT - 23-2k , HT-23-2tk. The main goal of the event was to develop students' understanding of the importance of family values and to promote the foundations of national education and morality.
During the mentor hour, students learned about Family Day, exchanged opinions on the characteristics and traditions of the Kazakh family, and completed creative assignments. Educational discussions were also held, aimed at instilling in young people respect for family, responsibility, and national identity. The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere and had significant educational value.
3.2. Mentoring Hour “130th Anniversary of the Birth of the Unforgettable Historical Figure – S. Kozhanov”
HT -24-8k , HT-24-18k, HT-24-21k , HT -24-2k , HT -24-3k , HT-23-2k , HT -23-2tk held a mentoring hour on the topic "130th anniversary of the birth of the indelible historical figure - Sultanbek Kozhanov" . HT-23-18k , HT - 23-18tr , HT-23-8k , HT - 22-2k , HT-22-18k, HT- 22-18tk , HT- 22-18a , HT-22-8dr, HT-21-2k, HT-21-8tk, HT-24-2ru . The purpose of the event is to honor the outstanding statesman, public figure, and educator S. Kozhanov. To introduce students to Kozhanov's life and historical legacy, and to foster national identity and patriotic values.
During the curator's hour, information was presented on Sultanbek Kozhanov's political and social activities, his contribution to the Alash movement, and his achievements in education and culture. Students learned historical facts and shared their thoughts on his significance in the country's history. A video was also shown and an open discussion forum was organized.
3.3. Mentoring hour “Saken – an inexhaustible river of poetry”, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of S. Seifullin’s birth.
To commemorate the 130th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding poet, writer, and public figure Saken Seifullin, a curatorial hour was held in groups HT-23-18k, HT-23-18tr, HT-23-8a, and HT-23-8k on the topic "Saken – an Inexhaustible Source of Poetry." The goal of the event was to introduce the life and work of this great figure of Kazakh literature, Saken Seifullin, to appreciate his literary and historical legacy, and to foster patriotism and spiritual and cultural awareness in young people.
During the curator's hour, an overview of the poet's life and work was presented, excerpts from his poems were read, and a student discussion took place. An exchange of views also took place on Seifullin's spiritual connection with the Alash intelligentsia and his contribution to the development of Kazakh literature. The event was rich, informative, and meaningful.
3.4. Mentoring hour “Beimbet Mailin – master of embroidery”, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Beimbet Mailin’s birth.
To commemorate the 130th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Kazakh writer, playwright, and poet Beimbet Mailin, a mentoring hour was held in groups HT-23-2k, HT-23-2tk, and HT-24-2k on the topic "Beimbet Mailin – a Master of Clear Thought." The goal of the event was to promote the writer's creative legacy, explain his place and significance in Kazakh literature, expand students' literary knowledge, and foster interest in national spiritual values.
During the mentoring hour, the writer's life and literary legacy were explored. Participants read excerpts from Mailin's works and shared their reflections on social reality and the portrayal of ordinary people in his short but profound works. The writer's contribution to Kazakh prose and satire was also widely discussed.
3.5. Mentoring Hour: "130th Anniversary of the Birth of Turar Ryskulov – a Bright Figure in the History of the People"
A curatorial hour was held on the theme "The 130th Anniversary of the Birth of Turar Ryskulov – a Distinguished Figure in National History." The event aimed to deepen knowledge about the life and work of the outstanding statesman and public figure Turar Ryskulov, to understand his significance as a historical figure, and to strengthen the students' patriotic spirit.
During the hour, educational information was presented on the life, political and social activities of T. Ryskulov, and his contribution to the nation. Students discussed his personal struggle for national interests, drawing on historical data and archival materials. Participants also engaged in an exchange of opinions, questions and answers, and reflections.
3.6. Mentoring hour dedicated to the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a mentoring hour was held in the HT-22-18k and HT-22-18tk groups . The goal of the event was to popularize the role of women in science, engage the younger generation in science, and, in particular, develop the scientific potential of girls, as well as promote the values of gender equality.
During the mentoring hour, information was presented about the lives and work of Kazakhstani and international women scientists who have achieved success in science. Students exchanged views on gender barriers and opportunities in science and brainstormed the topic "What should a future scientist be like?" The event proved motivating, heightened students' interest in science, and paved the way for an understanding of the importance of women in society.
3.7. Participation in the project “ Gratitude to the parents and school of the best student”.
Letters of gratitude were sent to the parents of the department's students.
3.8. Mentoring hour “I was born and raised in the mountains”, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Zhansugurov’s birth.
To commemorate the 130th anniversary of the birth of Ilyas Zhansugurov, a prominent figure in Kazakh literature, poet, playwright, and public figure, a mentoring session on the topic "I was born and raised in the mountains" was held in groups HT-23-18k, HT-23-18tr, HT-23-8a, and HT-23-8k . The goal of the event was to popularize Zhansugurov's work, foster a deeper understanding of his literary legacy, and instill spiritual values in young people.
During the mentoring hour, the poet's life and work were discussed, as well as the national spirit and poetic mastery in his works "Kulager," "Dala," and "Kuy." Students read excerpts from the poet's poems and shared their thoughts reflecting his love for his native land and country.
3.9. Mentoring hour dedicated to the holidays of Defender of the Fatherland Day, the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, and "Kazakhstan - the land of heroes"

The goal of the event was to convey to students the example of our people's heroism during the war, the selfless deeds of our heroes, and to instill in them a sense of patriotism and respect for historical memory.
During the curator's hour, the history of the war was examined, highlighting the exploits of heroes and workers on the home front in Kazakhstan. Participants watched documentaries about those who fought at the front and presented creative works on the theme "The Names of Heroes Are Forever in Our Memory." Students recited poems about the war, and a moment of silence was observed. The event aimed to instill in students a patriotic spirit, an understanding of the value of peace, and respect for the past.
3.10 Mentoring hour on the topic “Family as a place of happiness” .
A mentoring hour was held on the topic "Family – a Place of Happiness." The event aimed to explain to students the role and importance of family in society, promote family values, and develop human qualities such as kindness, respect, and responsibility.
in HT-23-2k, HT-23-2tk, and HT-24-2k learned about the meaning of the concept of "family," its educational function, and its place in national traditions. Students spoke warmly about their families and presented short essays and creative works. Student interest in the topic was heightened through an exchange of opinions, questions and answers, and a video clip.
3.11 . Organizing a survey on cases of bullying among students
Throughout the academic year, students of the department took part in sociological research and surveys.
3.12 . Mentoring hours to strengthen family values.
A mentoring hour was held, dedicated to strengthening family values. The main goal of the event was to explain to students the importance of family in society, promote family values based on national upbringing and traditions, and instill in young people such human qualities as respect, responsibility, and love.
HT-24-18k, HT-24-21k, and HT-24-8k presented information about the educational role of the family, parent-child relationships, and the role of national customs and traditions in family life. Students shared their thoughts, expressed gratitude to their families, and completed creative assignments on the topic.
3.13. Mentoring hour “The Great Holiday of Nauryz”.
On the occasion of the holiday of Nauryz, a symbol of spring and renewal, a curatorial hour was held on the topic "The Great Holiday of Nauryz – Nauryz." The goal of the event was to convey to students the historical, cultural, and spiritual significance of Nauryz, to foster respect for national traditions, and to promote national unity.
During the curator's hour, information was presented on the history of Nauryz, its place in the lives of Turkic peoples, the national traditions of the Kazakh people, and customs characteristic of this holiday. Furthermore, the students created a festive mood through songs and poems, and participated in national games and creative activities. The event was held at a high level, promoting national values and raising the spiritual and cultural level of the youth.
PROFESSIONAL AND LABOR EDUCATION
Students were introduced to credit-based learning technology. In September and October, mentors held Saturday seminars with groups.
Throughout the school year, students participated in environmental cleanups. Active students treated street cleaners to hot coffee and tea.
4.1. Mentoring Hour "October 1 – Day of Higher Education Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan"
On October 1, to commemorate Higher Education Workers' Day in the Republic of Kazakhstan, a mentoring hour was held in groups HT-21-2k, HT-22-2k, HT-22-18a, and HT-22-8dr . The event's goal was to honor the work of higher education faculty working in education, explain the role and importance of the teaching profession in society, and instill in students a sense of gratitude and respect for teachers.
During the hour, information was presented about veterans of the teaching profession and current successful educators, and students expressed warm wishes to their teachers. The event included poetry readings, speeches of gratitude, and creative works.
4.2. Mentoring hour dedicated to World AIDS Day.
To mark World AIDS Day, a mentoring hour on the topic "AIDS – a global disease" was held in groups HT-22-18k and HT-22-18tk . The goal of the event was to provide students with scientifically and medically accurate information about HIV/AIDS, explain prevention methods, and encourage them to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Over the course of an hour, detailed information was provided on the transmission routes of AIDS, prevention measures, the virus's impact on the human body, and its social consequences. An educational video on the topic was shown, and an open interview based on data obtained from specialists was held. Students expressed their opinions and answered questions about safety measures.
4.3.Organization and holding of an event dedicated to the Day of Chemical Industry Workers.
In honor of Chemical Industry Workers' Day, a mentoring hour was held. The event's goal was to explain to students the place and importance of the chemical industry in the national economy, promote the work of industry professionals, and help them choose their future profession.
During the hour, information was presented on the history of the chemical industry, its production lines, and modern environmental and technological advances. The specifics and responsibilities of the chemist profession were also discussed, and examples of the achievements of specialists working in this field were given.
4.4 . Mentoring Hour "Fair Kazakhstan. Honest Citizen"
HT-23-18k, HT-23-18tr, HT-23-8a, and HT-23-8k held a mentoring session on the topic "Fair Kazakhstan. Honest Citizen." The goal of the event was to explain to students the importance of justice, honesty, and law-abidingness, to develop civic responsibility and social awareness, and to cultivate conscientious individuals who contribute to the country's development.
During the hour, information was presented on the key principles and values of the "Fair Kazakhstan" concept, and the role of youth in building a society based on honesty and fairness was discussed. Students expressed their thoughts on the topic and completed creative tasks that explored the image of an honest citizen.
4.5. Mentoring hour “My success is my result”, dedicated to Labor Day.
On Labor Day, a mentoring hour was held on the topic "My Success – My Result." The event's goal was to explain the role of work in life, instill in young people qualities such as hard work, perseverance, responsibility, and an understanding of the importance of self-development through personal achievement.
Over the course of an hour, students learned proverbs about work and shared their achievements. A video about the work of people of various professions in society was shown, and questions and creative tasks were conducted to foster a positive attitude toward work. The event was educational, informative, and motivating.
4.6. As part of the "Sacred Places of Kazakhstan" project, in collaboration with the "Visit Shymkent" center, introduce first-year students and international students to historical sites, theaters, and museums in Shymkent.
HT-24-18k, HT-24-21k, HT-24-8k, HT-24-2k went to the theater with their curators.

HT-24-2k, HT-23-2k, HT-23-2tk, HT-23-18k, HT-23-18tr, HT-23-8a, HT-23-8k together with their curator visited the Museum of Victims of Political Repression.
4.8. Regularly organize student trips to drama theaters, opera and ballet theaters, and local history museums.

FORMATION OF RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE
All academic groups held mentoring sessions on this topic. Protocols and recommendations were presented.
5.1. Curatorial hours on the topics “Religion and Tradition”, “Religious Literacy of Youth”, “The Educational Importance of Religion”.
HT-21-2k, HT-22-2k, HT-22-18a, and HT-22-8dr held mentored hours on the topics of "Religion and Tradition," "Religious Literacy of Youth," and "The Educational Importance of Religion." The goal of the event was to broaden youth religious awareness, increase religious literacy, promote harmony between tradition and religion, and encourage the rejection of radical movements.
During the hour, information was presented on the spiritual and educational significance of traditional religion and the continuity of religion and traditions in the national identity of the Kazakh people. The signs of foreign religious movements and ways to protect against them were also revealed. Participants expressed their opinions, and a question-and-answer session was held on this topic.
5.2 Thanksgiving Day , a mentoring hour dedicated to the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan
was held in groups HT-22-18k and HT-22-18tk , dedicated to Thanksgiving Day and People's Unity Day in Kazakhstan. The goal of the event was to explain to students the importance of peace and harmony in the country, strengthen friendship and respect between different ethnic groups, and foster a culture of gratitude.
During the hour, information was presented on the role of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, an example of interethnic harmony in the country, and the historical significance of the tradition of gratitude. Students expressed gratitude to each other and their teachers, and shared thoughts about their families and the friendship between peoples.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
Mentoring hours were held to promote a healthy lifestyle.
6.1. Providing students with information about sports sections and clubs.
In order to effectively organize students' free time, promote a healthy lifestyle, and develop their creative abilities, mentoring hours were held in the following groups: HT-24-8k , HT-24-18k , HT - 24-21k , HT-24-2k , HT - 24-3k , HT - 23-2k, HT - 23-2tk, HT-23-18k , HT-23-18tr , HT-23-8k , HT-22-2k , HT-22-18k, HT- 22-18tk , HT - 22-18a, HT-22-8dr, HT-21-2k, HT-21-8tk, HT-24-2ru .
During the event, detailed information was provided about the school's sports clubs (football, volleyball, basketball, chess, etc.) and creative clubs (debate club, dombra club, theater studio, applied arts, etc.). The schedules, leaders, and participation procedures for the clubs were explained, and students' questions were also answered.
6.2 Conducting informational and propaganda work against violence and bullying of children

The event provided information on the types, symptoms, and consequences of physical, psychological, and cyberbullying against children. Additionally, students were taught how to prevent such situations, reliable helplines, and how to contact law enforcement. 6.3 Thanksgiving Mentoring Hour
On March 1, in honor of Thanksgiving, the HT-22-18k and HT-22-18tk groups held a mentoring hour on the topic "Gratitude – a Sign of Humanity." The goal of the event was to explain to students the universal and spiritual significance of expressing gratitude, provide information about historical events that served as the foundation for unity and harmony among different ethnic groups, and promote values such as kindness and respect.
Over the course of an hour, the history of Thanksgiving Day, the creation of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, and the holiday's role as a symbol of peace and harmony were discussed. Students shared their thoughts on the importance of expressing gratitude to each other and society, read essays on gratitude, and watched videos. The event was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual respect, leaving participants with a positive spiritual outlook.
6.4 . Mentoring hour “Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan”.
On May 1, to commemorate the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan, a mentoring hour entitled "Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan" was held in groups HT-23-18k, HT-23-18tr, HT-23-8a, and HT-23-8k . The goal of the event was to strengthen friendship and harmony among the multinational people of Kazakhstan, foster respect for the culture and traditions of different ethnic groups, and explain the importance of unity and harmony within the country.
During the hour, information was presented on the activities of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan—a model of peaceful coexistence among ethnic groups in the country. Students shared information about the customs and traditions of various nationalities and expressed their thoughts. Poems dedicated to the holiday were also recited, and a video was shown.

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
While participating in the cleaning and improvement of the university courtyard, active UM students organized a campaign to distribute hot tea and coffee to technical staff on cold days.

7.1 Conducting an intra-departmental Olympiad in the subject "Chemical Technology"
Students from the HT-22-2k group, B.M. Kudaibergen, I.N. Sabitkhan, and D.E. Satybaldiev, presented a report on "Determining Chemical Composition Using Artificial Intelligence" at the 2025 Hackathon "The Future of Blue-Collar Jobs in the Metallurgical and Oil and Gas Industries: Attractiveness, Integration, and Reputation."

8.1. Participation in an event dedicated to International Women's Day.
On March 7, active students gathered at the main entrance to congratulate all the girls and women on the upcoming holiday, decorating the area with balloons, flowers, and candles.

An open mentoring hour featuring veteran educators who have worked in science and education for many years and achieved significant success. The goal of the event is to convey to the younger generation the importance of perseverance, research, and hard work in the pursuit of science, to learn from the life experiences and professional paths of veteran educators, and to establish a spiritual connection between students and teachers.
During the mentoring session, experienced teachers shared their achievements and life lessons in science and teaching, and also offered helpful advice to the young people. The students, in turn, actively participated in the open discussion, asking questions.
The department's students congratulated the young faculty on their teaching and research achievements during this period and presented the female faculty with bouquets of flowers.
