TEX4FUTURE CENTER OPENED AT AUEZOV UNIVERSITY
From April 1 to 3, 2026, the IX Meeting of the Advisory Council of the international project ERASMUS+ TEX4FUTURE (101128738 – GAP-101128738) – “Textile Manufacturing for the Future in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan” was organized at the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University.
Representatives of leading universities, research centers of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as partner organizations in the textile and light industry sector participated in this event. During the meeting, the progress of the project implementation was discussed, and issues of modernizing educational programs, introducing modern technologies, and strengthening ties between industry and science were considered.
In addition, a textile materials testing center was opened at the university with the support of the ERASMUS+ program within the framework of the “Textile Manufacturing for the Future in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan” (TEX4FUTURE) project. This center is a unique project that serves as a modern scientific and practical base for the textile and clothing industry. The center will give impetus to the development of the industry by testing new materials, assessing their quality, and introducing innovative solutions.
The participants discussed new approaches to training qualified specialists in the textile industry, directions for introducing the principles of digitalization and sustainable production, as well as ways to expand international cooperation. Following the meeting, it was noted that proposals for the next stages of the project were developed and the exchange of experience between partners will continue.
