Olympiad in Russian Philology at the Kazakhstan Branch of Moscow State University: a platform for talents and scientific dialogue
In May 2025, the traditional Olympiad in Russian Philology took place at the Kazakhstan branch of the Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov – a significant event in the lives of students, teachers and everyone who is passionate about the Russian language and literature.
The event was attended by 7 universities, and its organization was made possible thanks to the efforts of the Department of Russian Philology of the Moscow State University branch.
The Olympiad program included three rounds: a comprehensive linguistic analysis of the text, a comparative analysis of poetic texts, and a creative competition. Participants had to demonstrate a deep knowledge of literary texts, grammatical norms, as well as the ability to think analytically and interpret literary works. The creative competition consisted of a university business card that had to be presented in a creative and fresh way.
The team of Auezov South Kazakhstan University consisted of three people: second-year student Zhanna Kurmanbekova and two first-year students Regina Sharifulina
and Alexandra Shapovalova. The students were able to bring home not only good impressions and new skills, but also a diploma for taking third place at the Republican Student Olympiad and a certificate for taking third place in the creative competition.
P.S. In April 2025, the team of Auezov South Kazakhstan University took part in the Olympiad in Russian language and literature, where they were awarded a 2nd degree diploma for scientific work and took 2nd place in the creative competition.
