“EduCampShym” Summer Career Guidance Camp Launched in Shymkent.
On May 28, 2025, with the support of the Shymkent City Department of Education and the initiative of South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov, the “EduCampShym” summer career guidance camp officially began its work for the first time. This unique ten-day project is aimed at helping students and graduates make informed decisions about their future professions.
As part of the camp, an educational excursion was held at the Faculty of History and Pedagogy of South Kazakhstan University under the theme “History is not a journey to the past, but a path to the future.” During the event, participants were introduced to the work of the “Center for Archaeological and Anthropological Research.” The center's head, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor A.B. Saipov, presented the main scientific directions and the latest developments of the center.
Additionally, an excursion to the university’s Information and Educational Center was organized, where participants learned about the educational opportunities in the field of library science and the university’s library resources. Moreover, an introduction to the Inclusive Education Office was provided, covering areas of special and general psychology.
EduCampShym offers students and school graduates the opportunity to explore various career paths, participate in master classes, and discover their talents and inclinations. Throughout the program, participants visit university laboratories and academic facilities, meeting experienced professors and leading professionals in different fields.
This camp is a valuable opportunity for young people to make a conscious choice about their future profession and take a confident step toward their personal and professional development.
