MAJILIS DEPUTY MET WITH YOUTH OF AUEZOV UNIVERSITY ON "INCLUSIVE SOCIETY: EDUCATION AND ACCESSIBILITY".
Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serikov Tansaule Gabdymanapovich held a meeting with the teaching staff and students of the South Kazakhstan research university named after M. Auezov on the topic "Inclusive society: education and accessibility". The deputy of the Mazhilis first visited the Museum of the University, the Research Center "Mukhtartanu" and got acquainted with the work of the Center for inclusive services for students with disabilities. Chairman of the Board of the University Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki noted that at the meeting Tansaule Gabdymanapuly worked closely with the Ministry of Science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and participated in the adoption of some legislation. Speaking at the meeting, T. Gabdymanapuly noted that today there are 737 thousand people with disabilities in the country, most of them are young people. Special attention should be paid not only to support for people with disabilities, such as social benefits, but also to higher education and employment of young people. Head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at the IV meeting of the National kurultai in Borovoye that "every child with special needs in Kazakhstan should have the opportunity to get a full education. This is a very important point. Therefore, by the end of the year, it is necessary to develop a new law regulating the provision of comprehensive support to such children." Work is underway on this. At today's meeting with young people, we will listen to their suggestions", T. Serikov said at the meeting. More than 120 students have the opportunity to receive inclusive education at the University. Young people and their parents who came to the meeting freely exchanged views with the deputy and asked their questions. He received full answers to such questions as the rights of people with disabilities, employment and housing. During the conversation, the achievements of Tansaule Gabdymanapuly in his life and work gave young people spiritual strength and inspiration.
