Open Day for Prospective Students Organized.
On April 30, 2025, in accordance with the university's career guidance plan, the "History and Pedagogy" Faculty held an OPEN DAY for graduating high school students from the city of Shymkent and Tulkibas district of Turkistan region. The event took place at 10:00 AM in the assembly hall of Academic Building No. 9 at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University.
Modern career guidance is a system aimed at helping young people choose the right profession by considering both individual abilities and needs as well as the demands of the labor market.
During the event, the Dean of the "History and Pedagogy" Faculty, Kurmangali Marhabatuly Urazbayev, delivered an informative presentation about the faculty's opportunities.
Additionally, Meyirbek Zhumabayuly Kaiykbayev, a specialist from the Career Guidance Center, provided information about the changes and features of the Unified National Testing (UNT) for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Faculty graduates and guest employers — including Guldana Arystanovna Totikova, Director of the "Askar" Intellectual School in Shymkent; Gulzhan Eralykyzy Verotskaya, founder and chairwoman of the "INNOVATION PSYCHOLOGY" national public foundation and university alumna; and Zhanat Kalnazarkyzy Ataeva, head of the "Bolmys" Psychological Center — emphasized the importance of choosing a profession, noting it as one of life’s most responsible decisions.
Moreover, the university’s and faculty’s educational programs, material and technical base, and academic process were thoroughly presented by department heads — Mukhtar Abenuly Yermekbayev, Gulzhan Kobeykyzy Otarbayeva, Akkenzhe Mukankyzy Usenova — and faculty associate professor Kaliash Ospankyzy Dzhekisbayeva.
The event was enhanced by performances of songs and dances prepared by active students of the faculty, and quiz games were offered to prospective students. Good wishes were expressed for high scores on the UNT. Questions from high school students were answered in detail, and informational brochures about the university and faculty were distributed.
