On the 5th of February, 2026, an off-site working meeting was held at the Kainar Bulak educational farm (experimental training ground of SKU named after M. Auezov). The event was attended by the Dean of the Agrarian Faculty, Associate Professor Gulnara Tastanbekova, teaching staff of the Department of Crop and Animal Husbandry, graduate students, as well as a delegation of scientists from the Fruit Research Institute (MAREM) in Egirdir-Isparta (Turkey).
The visit to Kainar Bulak was a logical continuation of the international exchange program. If earlier the delegation studied the experience of the industrial giant «Dala Fruit», then the purpose of the current visit was to monitor the state of the university's own training ground and conduct practical exercises for students.
Turkish scientists conducted a tour of the garden, providing recommendations for spring pruning and protection of fruit crops.
Under the guidance of G.R. Tastanbekova, students in practice mastered the methods of field research, which are applied by their foreign colleagues from the MAREM Institute.
The participants discussed plans to increase the number of experiments at the Kainar Bulak ESIC, which will improve the quality of training specialists in agronomic specialties.
«Cooperation with colleagues from Egirdir gives us the opportunity to introduce advanced Turkish technologies into the educational process right here at our base in Kainar Bulak. This is a unique school for students», said the dean of the faculty.
Such trips contribute to the integration of education into the real sector of the economy and strengthen the position of SKU named after M. Auezov as a leading center of agrarian science in the southern region.
