Docent of the Department of Water Resources, Land Use and Agrotechnology  Sultanbekova P.S. made a presentation on the topic: "Problems of water scarcity in the Turkestan region" at the regional forum held by the city akimat and the Council of Mothers at the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.

In her report, Parida Sultanbekova noted that the Turkestan region is a region with a high shortage of drinking water. In 70 out of 807 settlements of the region there is no centralized water supply. In 2025, it is planned to connect 40 settlements to a centralized water supply system. In general, about 100 water supply projects are being implemented in the region.

Chairman of the Council of Mothers of the South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov Gulnara Zhanysbekova noted that the purpose of this forum is to discuss the formation of a culture of economy in society, the rational use of natural resources, and the strengthening of spiritual values.
