Scientific Seminar on Academic Publications in the Digital Scientific Space Held at the Department of World History and Museum Studies of M. Auezov SKRIU
On April 22, 2026, a scientific seminar was held at the Department of World History and Museum Studies of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University. As part of the event, Kalima Tolebaevna Tuenbaeva, Associate Professor of the Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, delivered a lecture entitled “Digital Scientific Space. Academic Article: The Complete Path from Research to Publication.”
The seminar was attended by the faculty members of the Faculty of History and Pedagogy, the academic staff of the Department of World History and Museum Studies, students of the educational program 6B03210 – “Library Science,” as well as master’s and doctoral students.
During the lecture, K.T. Tuenbaeva, an academician of the International Informatization Academy and an experienced specialist in library science and IT technologies, highlighted current issues related to publishing academic articles in the international scientific community. The speaker provided detailed information on the criteria for selecting scientific journals, international standards and publication strategies, requirements for preparing academic articles, and the specifics of the peer-review process. Participants received practical recommendations on improving the quality of scientific publications and effectively promoting research findings in international academic journals.
Special attention was paid to the importance of publication activity in the modern academic environment. It was emphasized that publishing research results in the international scientific space is not only an important indicator of a researcher’s professional activity but also a necessary condition for integrating scientific findings into the global scientific community.
The seminar also thoroughly examined issues related to the formation of the digital scientific space, obtaining researcher identifiers such as ORCID and DOI, criteria for selecting academic journals, and the most common mistakes made in writing academic articles. The analysis of specific examples and practical cases contributed to a deeper understanding of the presented material among the participants.
The lecture was distinguished by its scientific depth, logical structure, and practical orientation. The use of relevant data, reliable examples, and an analytical approach ensured the high scientific and methodological level of the event. Seminar participants actively engaged in discussions, asked questions, and exchanged opinions, contributing to a constructive professional dialogue.
