Ziyabek Kabyldinov presented his scientific works at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University
On April 3, 2026, Ziyabek Yermukhanuly Kabuldinov, General Director of the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, paid an official visit to M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University.
As part of the visit, an extended presentation of scientific publications was held at the university with the participation of the scholar. The event was attended by the faculty of the Department of “History of Kazakhstan” as well as young researchers.
During the presentation, the following fundamental works based on archival sources and historical research were introduced:
Collection of Archival Documents and Materials. History of the City of Shymkent. Volume 18 (Almaty, 2025);
The Famine of 1931–1933: Memoirs of Witnesses and Their Descendants in the Turkestan Region (Vol. V, Almaty, 2025);
Repressed Bais of Kazakhstan (Based on Archival Materials and Memoirs) (Almaty, 2026);
Kazakhs of the Omsk Uyezd of Akmola Region;
Kazakhstan in the System of International Relations in Asia: History and Modernity;
Kazakh Batyrs of the 18th – Early 20th Centuries: Historical and Cultural Studies;
Collection of Scientific Articles on the History of Kazakhstan (1920–1950s).
During the meeting, special attention was given to the scientific and source-based significance of these publications, as well as their role in studying key issues of Kazakhstan’s history. The importance of archival-based research for young scholars was also emphasized.
At the end of the event, participants exchanged views and discussed prospects for further academic cooperation.
