Turkey's experience for the gardens of Kazakhstan: a four-day seminar on intensive fruit growing was held at the Agrarian Faculty

From May 5 to 8, an international scientific and practical seminar was held on the basis of the Agrarian Faculty on the topic "Orchard in May: vegetation management and crop protection". Leading scientists from Turkey acted as invited experts, sharing advanced technologies for caring for stone and pome crops at the peak of the spring season.

The seminar program was divided into theoretical blocks and field practical classes in the intensive gardens of the region. Together with Turkish colleagues, the participants - teachers, undergraduates and farmers - discussed:

- Vegetation physiology: methods of stimulating the growth and formation of the crown in the critical May period.

- Integrated protection: modern Turkish pest and disease control protocols adapted to the climate of Turkestan region.

- Fertigation systems: accurate application of trace elements to ensure high quality of the future harvest.

Turkish scientists noted the high potential of the southern region of Kazakhstan for the development of horticulture and expressed their readiness for further scientific and technological support of the projects of the faculty. Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Gulnara Tastanbekova emphasized that such meetings allow introducing AgroTech world standards into the educational process and real production.

At the end of the seminar, the students received international certificates. The knowledge gained will be used in conducting agrotechnical events in the educational and demonstration gardens of the faculty, scheduled for the current field season.
