On the 15^th of April, 2026, a large-scale career guidance event, the Open Day, took place at the Agrarian Faculty. More than 150 graduates of schools and colleges of the city of Shymkent and Sairam district gathered within the walls of the faculty to get acquainted with educational programs and prospects for studying in the agricultural sector.

Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan G.R.Tastanbekova, Head of the Department of Crop Production and Animal Husbandry, Candidate of Biological Sciences A.K. Zhylkibaev, docent of the Department of Water Resources, Land Use and Agrotechnology, PhD K. Abdeshev and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Veterinary medicine, master A. Kambarov spoke about the demanded areas of training, emphasizing the relevance of these professions for the southern region of the country.

"We are glad to see such purposeful guys from Sairam district and our city. The agricultural sector today needs young specialists who know digital technologies, and our faculty is ready to give this knowledge", said Gulnara Tastanbekova dean of the faculty.

A quiz and a tour of the faculty, a visit to the library, lecture and sports halls were organized for guests. Graduates were able to personally communicate with students and learn about the busy extracurricular life of the faculty.
